Welcome to my new website! The project has been one which has taken a great deal of my time on and off for the past few weeks. It has been a learning experience, and has not been without its moments and frustration and many more moments of exhilaration.
You see much more movement here than on my previous site. I believe in good content. I also believe in presenting it in an interesting way. But, aside from a more interesting appearance on your computer, I made the change for another reason.
More and more, people are receiving their information on their digital devices. The site you are viewing now was created with a “responsive theme.” That means when you view it on a tablet or phone, you don’t simply see a smaller version of the website where you are forced to scroll and pinch the screen to read the content. This theme will respond to the device on which you view it. That way, you can read the content easily no matter the device.
Blogging has been one of the most fulfilling professional activities of my career. It is something I have been doing almost 10 years, and it is something that has allowed me to share ideas with others, learn from others, and be introduced to new friends across the globe.
The plan is to merge the website and blog into one unit. The most recent four blog posts will always appear at the bottom of home page, just as you are seeing here. Over the course of the next two months, I will be importing the posts you have enjoyed on the Get Organized! blog to this site.
Don’t worry. The posts which you have enjoyed will still be available. I am going to leave the Blogger blog intact indefinitely. Throughout the month of May, you will find new content there. When all of the content from the past has been migrated here, I will add a final post on the Blogger site directing new readers to this site.
Bringing my website and my blog under one roof is something I hope you will like.
So what do you think so far? I hope the comment section is working OK, so why not give it a test drive and leave me a comment?
Secondly, how about helping me get the word out to other people? Below, you see links to share this post with your friends on social media. I am hoping those are working as well. Why not give them a try?
