Ever wished you had a Swiss Army knife for your digital workspace? Well, Evernote just gave you one, and most people don’t even know it exists.

In a recent post, I showed you Evernote’s brand new meeting notetaker. It started as what’s called a satellite tool. So what exactly is a satellite?

Evernote has released a set of tools that aren’t part of the main Evernote app. You do need an Evernote account to use them. Here’s the best part: you can access these satellites even with a free account. Today we’ll go through them one by one so you can see how they work.

Getting Started with Satellite Tools

First, since the satellites aren’t contained within Evernote, you need a link to get there. Each satellite has its own URL. Once you’re on any satellite, you’re just one click away from the others. I picked the URL for the one I use most and put it in my bookmarks toolbar. This is the link I chose to bookmark. Once I’m there, I move to any of the other tools.

You need an Evernote account to use these tools, but it can be a free account.

Here are the satellites along with their time stamps in the video

Your All-in-One Toolkit

Which of these tools will help your workflow? You might have found sites here and there for individual tasks, like a word counter. What you have here is a set of tools all in one place.

To use them, you need an Evernote account, but it can be a free account.

Which satellite tool do you think will be most helpful to you? Let me know in the comments below.
